So you’ve got a shiny license for Panasonic’s latest version of their software BB-HNP15. This allows you to monitor, record and playback from up to 64 cameras simultaneously and supports features such as MPEG-4 video, high resolution support, graphical display of recorded events, full screen mode etc.
This guide will take you through the relatively simple process of installing the software and registering your license.
System requirements for Panasonic BB-HNP15 (when 2 cameras are connected):
- Microsoft Windows XP 32bit/Vista 32bit
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
- NTFS file system recommended
- Intel Pentium 4 2.6GHz or greater (or equivalent compatible processor)
- RAM: 512MB or higher
- Program installation requires 200MB of free hard disk space
Step 1 - Installing the Software
Insert the CD-ROM into the computer. After a few seconds the installation window will automatically appear. (note that if the installation window does not appear open the contents of the CD-ROM and double-click the ‘autorun.exe’ to run the installation window)
The installation window should look similar to the dialog below:

Click the ‘Install Network Camera Recorder with Viewer Software’ button to start viewing the software. Note that administration rights are required to install this software. If you do not have administration rights for your computer please consult your system administrator.
Once you have clicked the button you will see the following dialog after a few seconds:

Click the ‘Next >’ button to continue. You will asked to agree to the license agreement:

Check the ‘I Agree’ option and click the ‘Next >’ button to continue. You can then adjust the path to where the application will be installed:

Select the required destination for storing the application and click the ‘Next >’ button. You should now be ready to install the software:

The software will now install. Once complete you will get the following ‘Installation Complete’ dialog and a shortcut icon will be placed on your desktop. You will need to restart your PC to complete the installation.
Step 2 - Registering your Software
If no license has been registered when the operation window is started, follow the steps below:
Select ‘Help’ > ‘License Registration’ on the menu bar.
The Registration window will open:

Enter the registration code and license key. You will find stickers in the box with your registration code and license key.
Once you have entered the information, click the ‘OK’ button. Your registration will be complete.
Finish
Keep your registration code and and license key in a safe place. If you lose them there is no way of getting them back.

I purchased another BL-c111 camera and can’t seem to register it so that I can multi-view on software. The Register button is dis-functional. I can view both thru server but not on Network Camera Viewer software.
Thanks, Joe

@Joe:
The software that comes with the camera is a single camera trial. To add multiple cameras you need to purchase a license. Buying 2 cameras doesn’t entitle you to 2 licenses, it only means you have two copies of the free 1-camera version.
You can however view both your cameras on one page using the camera’s own multi-camera page. This is obviously purely monitoring though and not recording.

On Vista 64, the software crashes as soon as it starts. Can I download an updated version?

@Tom:
The spec for the software states XP/Vista 32bit. I don’t know of any upgrades to allow it to run on 64bit.
