Axis 241QA - Overview
The Axis 241QA is a 4-port video server with built-in motion detection, 2-way audio communication and support for pan-tilt-zoom compatible cameras.
Taking up to four traditional analog CCTV cameras, the Axis 241QA converts traditional analog video into high-quality de-interlaced digital video, deliverable across IP-based networks such as a Local Area Network (LAN) or the Internet. Images are delivered at a maximum size of 704x480 pixels at speeds of up to 30 frames per second. 2-way audio support provides one audio stream in each direction which allows users to not only see, but listen and communicate requests or orders with people near the camera’s location. Advanced features include powerful video and event management with multi-window motion detection, audio detection and external i/o for connecting devices such as sensors or relays which can monitor door bells, activate lights, open/close doors etc. Pre-/post-alarm buffering secures images just before and just after a triggered event and images can be sent by email, HTTP or FTP. Easy to install, configure and manage, the Axis 241QA provides an ideal solution when converting your existing analog CCTV cameras for IP-based network distribution over local networks (LAN) or across the Internet.
