PowerDsine PD-AS-701/12 - Overview

The PowerDsine PD-AS-701/12 is a high power PoE splitter which allows devices which are not originally designed to be powered by an Ethernet cable to be powered using a high powered PoE midspan using only one cable.

For devices which require a greater amount of power than conventional Power over Ethernet, the PD-AS-701 works in conjunction with a PowerDsine 7000G series midspan to provide a Power over Ethernet solution for devices which don’t support PoE as standard. The splitter takes an Ethernet cable which carries both power and data and splits them, power to a DC connector and data to an RJ-45 terminal. This allows you to effectively run power to a camera using a single standard Ethernet cable and for the power and data to be connected to a non-PoE camera in a conventional way. Power over Ethernet makes installation quick, easy and cost-effective and allows you to install cameras in locations where there are no conventional power outlets such as entrances to buildings, warehouse or factory ceilings etc.

This Power over Ethernet splitter is a 12V model and is compatible with a range of PoE midspans and network cameras.
