PowerDsine PD-7024G/AC/M - Overview

The PowerDsine PD-7024G/AC/M is a 24-port high power PoE (Power over Ethernet) midspan which allows up to twenty-four high power devices such as IP cameras with pan-tilt-zoom operation to be powered at once from this single device.

Carrying both the power and the data to up to twenty-four IP cameras or devices, the PowerDsine PD-7024G/AC/M makes installation of any large security surveillance and monitoring system quick, easy and straight-forward. The midspan will power any PoE enabled device which requires high power such as a network camera with pan-tilt-zoom controls, any device which conforms to the high-power IEEE802.3at pre-standard and is also fully backwards compatible with devices compliant to IEEE802.3af PoE standard. Using PowerView Pro, PowerDsine's secure SNMPv3 management application, tasks such as remote power-off/power-on, unit scheduling, UPS power monitoring and web-based monitoring can be easily performed. With a PoE enabled network, cameras can be installed very easily and even in locations where there is no means of conventional power such as in the same area as elevator doors, at the entrance to your building, in the middle of a factory/warehouse ceiling or any other locations at up to 100m distance.

This 24-port Power over Ethernet midspan is compatible with a range of PoE splitters and network cameras.
