Sony SNC-RZ25N - Overview

The Sony SNC-RZ25N network camera is a controllable pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) IP camera with automatic day/night switching and 2-way audio voice-exchange.

Equipped with a network interface and built-in web server the Sony SNC-RZ25N will deliver live streaming video over TCP/IP networks including a Local Area Network (LAN) or the Internet. With a 1/4-type Exwave HAD CCD imaging sensor the camera delivers exceptional picture quality for remote monitoring applications even in low-light conditions. Images are delivered at a maximum resolution of 640x480 pixels (VGA) at a frame-rate of 30fps in lighting conditions as low as 0.7 lux in color. Automatic day/night switching provides optimized sensitivity in both day and night environments. As the scene darkens the camera automatically switches to infrared sensitive black and white video requiring a minimum illumination of less than 0.01 lux. Bi-directional audio communication allows 2-way voice communication between the viewer and people at the camera’s location. External microphone and active speakers required (not supplied). Advanced features include an expansion slot for Compact Flash card which will allow you to extend the storage capacity of the camera or add wireless connectivity using an optional wireless card. Analog composite output allows the camera to be attached to a local recording device or monitor. Comprehensive alarm management tools allow events to be configured in the camera which will transfer images by email or FTP when alarms are triggered such as motion detection or external sensor input. Like all cameras offered on www.networkwebcams.com, the Sony SNC-RZ25N has a built-in web server and can be viewed over a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) or via the Internet as a streaming IP webcam.
