PowerDsine PD-3001/AC - Overview

The PowerDsine PD3001/AC 1-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) midspan provides an IEEE802.3af compliant solution for remote powering of supported devices.

The PD3001/AC eliminates the need for external power supplies by supplying power along the unused (non-data) wires in standard Cat5 Ethernet cable allowing both power and data to be run in a single cable. Typically this device would be installed near to the main data point (switch or router) but it can also be installed anywhere along the main cable run. A compact, cost effective, safe and reliable solution, this 1-port model allows power to be injected into one standard Ethernet cable only (6 or 12-port versions are also available).

This Power over Ethernet midspan is compatible with a range of PoE splitters and network cameras.
