Panasonic WV-NP244 - Overview

The Panasonic i-Pro WV-NP244 IP camera is a static network camera with 1-way audio listen-in and IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet connectivity.

The Panasonic i-Pro series of cameras are designed to deliver high-quality performance for professional security surveillance and monitoring applications. Dual simultaneous video modes allow bandwidth efficient MPEG-4 streaming for remote monitoring and high quality motion JPEG images for recording. Images are delivered at a maximum resolution of 640x480 pixels (VGA) at a frame-rate of up to 30fps. Using the camera’s built-in microphone you can listen-in to live audio as well as view live streaming video using a Windows based PC equipped with speakers. IEEE Power over Ethernet compliant, the Panasonic WV-NP244 can be powered using the same Ethernet cable as the data. This simplifies installation and allows the camera to be placed in locations where conventional power would be hard to locate. Comprehensive alarm management tools allow the camera to transfer images by email, FTP or to internal memory card when events are triggered such as motion detection, external sensor input or timed intervals. Like all IP cameras offered on www.networkwebcams.com, the Panasonic WV-NP244 has a built-in web server and can be viewed over a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) or via the Internet as a streaming IP webcam
