IQeye 802 - Overview

The IQeye 802 Sentinel network camera is a 2.0 megapixel combined IP camera/housing system with Power over Ethernet connectivity and digital pan-tilt-zoom operation.

The IQeye Sentinel Series is a combined network camera with all weather IP-66 rated housing. The housing can withstand extreme temperature and weather conditions and is tamper rand vandal-resistant, ideal for installation in exposed environments. The large 2.0 megapixel imaging sensor delivers crisp and detailed images at a resolution of 1600x1200 and at a frame-rate (4:3 aspect).

With IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet support the whole unit, including camera components and housing heater and fan, can be powered using the same standard Ethernet cable carrying the data. This greatly simplifies installation making it quicker, easier and more cost effective. Digital pan-tilt-zoom control allows zoom and movement without any loss of detail and by using no moving camera parts. No moving parts means no way of telling where the camera is pointing and also less wear and tear on the camera.

The IQeye 802 is a versatile IP camera packed with a wide number of advanced features such as multi-window exposure settings, digital image cropping, privacy masking and alarm management tools. Using the alarm management tools you can transfer images by email or to an FTP server based on motion detection, external sensor or timed schedule. Like all IP cameras offered on www.networkwebcams.com, the IQeye 802 has built-in web server and can be viewed over a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) or via the Internet as a streaming IP webcam.
