IQeye 855 - Overview

The IQeye 855 Sentinel Series IP camera is a combined IP66-rated, 5.0 megapixel network camera and housing system, suitable for outdoor use with automatic day/night switching and Power over Ethernet connectivity.

The IQeye Sentinel Series takes a high-end digital IP camera and combines it with an IP66-rated housing resulting in a camera which is resistant to extreme temperatures, vandalism and tampering. IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet complaint, the IQeye 855 can be powered using the same Ethernet cable as the data, making installation quick and cost effective while giving more options for camera location. With a large 5.0 megapixel imaging sensor the camera produces live images at 2560x1920 pixels at a frame-rate of 10 frames per second (4:3 aspect). Automatic day/night switching allows the camera to display color images in periods of full and low-light while automatically switching to an infrared black and white mode when the light level drops. With optional infrared illumination (not supplied) the camera can produce detailed images in complete darkness. A comprehensive alarm management system allows you to set up events in the camera based on motion detection, external sensor input (doorbell etc.) or a timed schedule. Once an event has been triggered in the camera you can transfer a live snapshot image by email or to an FTP server alerting you to a triggered alarm. An optional recording suite (IQrecorder) can be added to the camera to provide recording via FTP, archive, playback and search facilities. This software becomes part of the camera’s internal software giving an all-in-one monitoring and recording solution from a single camera without the need for a PC. Like all IP cameras offered on www.networkwebcams.com, the IQeye 855 has a built-in web server and can be viewed over a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) or via the Internet as a streaming IP webcam.
