Sony SNC-RX570N - Overview

The Sony SNC-RX570N IP dome camera is a controllable pan-tilt-zoom camera with an endless 360° rotation, automatic day/night switching for 24 hour surveillance, image stabilizer, 2-way audio and supports Sony’s DEPA technology platform allowing intelligent video features.

The flagship model from Sony’s SNC-RX series, the SNC-RX570N is a high-level IP security camera suitable for mission-critical applications in medium-large businesses or organizations. With a large 36x optical zoom the camera can display images in great detail at a maximum resolution of 640x480 (VGA) at up to 30 frames per second. The camera features multiple video modes (JPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264) and supports duel encoding which allows bandwidth efficient MPEG-4 video to stream over an Internet connection while simultaneously recording/monitoring high-quality JPEG images locally.

Automatic day/night switching provides high-quality color video during the day while automatically switching to infrared sensitive black and white video in periods of low light. Combined with an Exwave CCD imaging sensor, a new digital signal processing (DSP) unit and Sony’s DynaView technology giving wide dynamic range, the camera provides high quality images in high-contrast environments and excellent visibility in varying lighting conditions. Sony’s DEPA technology platform provides intelligent video analytics offering intelligent motion detection routines which are developed beyond conventional motion detection and reduce the number of false alarms by analyzing activity within the image over a larger number of frames. Intelligent object detection can raise an alarm if an object newly appears and is left in the scene for more than 40 seconds. It can also be configures to work if an object has been removed from a scene.

Advanced features include image stabilization which reduces the effect of high winds or vibrations caused from traffic to provide clear images, anti-tampering measures ensure that images from a specific camera are authentic, 2-way audio allowing you to communication with people near the camera from a remote location and image transfer by email or FTP based on events such as activity/object detection or external sensor inputs. Suitable for medium-large sized businesses and organizations the Sony SNC-RX570N is ideal for high-end security surveillance and monitoring and is easy to set up, manage and maintain.
