The Vivotek FD8133 is a compact fixed-dome IP camera designed for indoor surveillance in locations such as homes and offices. 1 Megapixel resolution is available from the camera, providing highly detailed footage with 3x more clarity than a VGA resolution camera while H.264 video compression reduces video bandwidth and storage requirements.

Video can be recorded directly onto the camera when used with a MicroSD card, making video recording much more robust by eliminating external storage devices. Local MP4 recording also lets viewers store short video clips directly onto their computer through the web browser without additional software. Advanced tampering detection monitors video provided by the camera and alerts users if the camera is tampered with so that downtime can be kept to a minimum.

The FD8133 features a 3GPP cell phone browser so that users can monitor footage when away from a computer using an Internet-enabled cell phone. The 3-axis lens adjustment mechanism means that the camera can provide the desired angle whether wall or ceiling mounted.
